Do you have a passion for dogs?
Are you adaptable, teachable and willing to face challenges head on? Perhaps becoming a professional dog trainer is what you were meant to do. Anyone can train a dog, not everyone can become a successful professional dog trainer. Professional dog training isn’t about getting a dog to roll over and play dead, or teaching it not to go potty in the house. Training the dog is easy, training the humans is the challenge. To be successful in this field you must have a genuine love for both dogs and people. You must have a strong desire to make a difference in peoples lives. Although you’ll be working with dogs, you must be a people person.
Our trainers spend a majority of their time meeting new people, demonstrating the training, philosophies and techniques to close new training deals. Your time is spent working to build relationships with veterinarians, groomers, and rescue group administrators. A professional appearance and demeanor is a must. Also, a positive attitude, friendly personality, organizational skills, salesmanship, marketing ability and management skills are a prerequisite to training dogs.
No, it’s not easy. However, it is extremely rewarding. Still interested? Answer the following questions. Are you…
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial?
- Motivated by business challenges?

- Driven by reaching milestones?

- Able to operate independently and think on your feet?
